Description of the missing person

Ali, who was then 22 years old, truly loved life and he tried to make the best of it despite the difficult circumstances that the country was facing at the time. He was a good-hearted person who was loved by everyone. Ali always tried his best to make all those around him as happy as possible. As much as he loved life, Ali also loved his country.

Circumstances of the Disappearance

A few days prior to his disappearance, a fight broke out between a number of people which Ali was involved in. Among the people fighting was a Syrian officer that was shot in the course of this scuffle. Since Ali was not the person who shot the officer, he did not try to flee or to hide after the incident. He continued to sleep in his house like he always has. A few days later, on the night of September 25th, 1989, a group of Syrian intelligence officers went to Ali's house and took him. That night was the last night Ali was ever seen.
