Circumstances of the Disappearance
On September 17, 1982, Israel had bombed the perimeter of Beirut Arab University. The administration had requested from the ground employees to head to the campus in order to repair all the damages and clean the grounds. Even though his family had fled to the mountains, Hassan was obliged to go to work along with his brother Abdel El Rahim. On their way there, they were stopped at a checkpoint in Ouzai and kidnapped with two other men from Barja.
